Mumbai Clinches First Place After Defeating Mid East
DUBAI, UAE (December 4, 2025) – Lord de Vera went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Miguel Ojeda hit a two-run home run in the second inning, so that Mumbai Cobras beat Mid East Falcons 6-3 to secure first place in the Baseball United Season One standings.
Chander Woolridge had a perfect 2.1 innings relief to earn the win (0 H, 0 ER, 4 SO, one Fire Ball Scored).
Chase Gearing (2.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 4 SO), Akshay More (1.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO), Brandon Kaminer, (1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB) and Akeel Morris, who got the save, (1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO) completed the work up the mound for Mumbai.
Along with De Vera and Ojeda, Gedionne Marlin went 2-for-5 with a triple, two runs scored and one RBI, while Brantley Bell went 2-for-3 and Manuel Ascanio batted 1-for-3 with two runs scored, to highlight Mumbai's offense.
With this result, Mumbai secures first place in the Baseball United season one standings, with a final win-loss record of 6-3, and will wait for the second place in the standings to dispute the United Series, which will come between Mid East and Arabia; both teams will close the regular season facing each other this weekend.
Other highlights:
- Shuhei Fukuda and Hiroyuki Nakajima went 2-for-3 with one RBI each, while Munenori Kawasaki went 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI, to seal the Falcons offense.
